Route description From Berndorf via Guglzipf
From the railway station in Berndorf, we will take the green route. After heading east for approx. 150 m, we will turn onto Ing.-Eugen-Essenther-Strasse and follow the country road to Hernstein or Kleinfeld. We will take the second turn-off to the left, and walk along Hauptstrasse towards Kleinfeld. After approx. 1.5 km, we will reach the access road to the “Waldhütte” inn (a further 2 km away) and the Jubiläumswarte lookout post. A forest nature trail starts just a stone's throw away from the lookout post (green route). Shortcuts to Berndorf railway station are possible via the Mühlsteig or the Sängersteig. We will keep to the route marked with green signposts. The signposts disappear around 350 m after the rest point, and we will turn left into the forest. We will remain on the unmarked forest path, until we reach the residential area of St Veit. From here, we will rejoin the green signposted route. Passing the “Masai Mara” lakeside campsite, we will reach our final destination in St Veit an der Triesting.
