Princely dining in sacred walls
It is the traditional inn cuisine that is appreciated at the Klostergasthof Heiligenkreuz. Seasonal specialities include game and fish. The game stew with napkin dumplings or the grilled salmon fillet with rice and vegetables testify to high culinary skills. For a successful end to the menu, try the monastery cream slice, served with a wild berry topping and vanilla sauce. A variety of products from the monastery's own production are available in the monastery shop. People are visibly proud of the beer brewed at Schlägl Abbey. The wines come mainly from the Stiftsweingut Thallern. The inn in the heart of Lower Austria has also established itself as a fine address for Christmas, wedding and company celebrations.
