If you have to wait for your connection at Brunn-Maria Enzersdorf station, it's not difficult to pass some time - thanks to the cosy coffee house on site. The barrier-free designed station in the district of Mödling is accompanied by more than 150 parking spaces on the Park & Ride facility, as well as more than 60 spaces for parked bicycles.
The station Brunn-Maria Enzersdorf, which is located on the route of the Südbahn, is shared by the two municipalities Brunn am Gebirge and Maria Enzersdorf. The station itself is located in the Brunn municipal area. Regional trains as well as trains of the rapid transit lines S1, S2, S3 and S4 run here. Together with a taxi rank and the short distances to various bus stops, it is a convenient starting point for excursions and connecting destinations.
Hunyadi Castle
Hunyadi Castle is located about 15 minutes away on foot. As a backdrop for public events, these are always a special experience in the midst of the magnificent ambience. The castle can also be booked for private purposes, in order to lend an exclusive frame to the celebrated festivities. In any case, it is a pleasure to take a walk in the beautiful castle park.
Liechtenstein Castle
A little further away, but easily reached by bus from Brunn-Maria Enzersdorf railway station, you can make your way to the impressive Liechtenstein Castle. During one of the passionately guided tours you almost feel like part of history and also for the little castle guests there is entertainment every Sunday in the course of the castle tours especially for children.
History
The railway station Brunn-Maria Enzersdorf, which was built in 1862, was supposed to be demolished. However, the municipality of Brunn acquired it and revitalized the station building. Since 1998 the station is run as unoccupied.
