Culture, enjoyment and relaxation - in just 15 minutes
Only a 15-minute walk from the Laxenburg-Biedermannsdorf train station lies a green jewel of garden art and culture. In Austria's largest landscape garden, the Schlosspark Laxenburg, visitors are invited to discover the history of the Habsburgs, marvel at numerous monuments and enjoy many a dreamlike ambience in the historic garden area - at the latest, the extensive annual programme of Schlosspark Laxenburg leaves nothing to be desired in terms of leisure activities.
Tip: The Franzensburg is enthroned in the middle of the castle park. Although it looks like something out of a fairy tale from times long past, it is still very young at just under 200 years old. Historically, however, it is no less important, because if you are not yet impressed by the dreamy walls, towers and facades, take a look inside the estate - in Austria's treasure house - to rediscover the impressive Habsburg dynasty in the rich exhibits.
Likewise, nature lovers and those in search of relaxation can stroll from the train station to the Laxenburg bathing pond in a quarter of an hour on foot. 17,000m² of sunbathing space offer refreshment and relaxation in the hot summer months.
