Station Unter Oberndorf

The Unter Oberndorf train station in the village of the same name in the Lower Austrian district of St. Pölten Land is equipped with benches and a ticket vending machine for purchasing tickets. Nestled in the wooded region of the Vienna Woods, some of the waiting time for the next train can be really enjoyed. Loudspeaker announcements and timetable posters provide sufficient information about the current train service.

Route information

• Unter Oberndorf station is located along the Westbahn line from Linz to Vienna.
• Express trains of line S50 to Neulengbach station as well as to Vienna Westbahnhof are served every half hour.
• In a few minutes walk you can reach a bus stop with buses to St. Christophen, Neulengbach, Eichgraben and Pressbaum.

High altitude hiking trail

Above the small village of Unter-Oberndorf stretches a beautiful circular route that hikes through the Wienerwald Biosphere Park and the picturesque landscapes around Eichgraben. For about 27 kilometers, marked trails lead to vantage points, information boards and burial mounds, replicas of which can also be visited in the Wienerwald Museum in Eichgraben.
