In addition to the Südbahn line, trains also run through the Guntramsdorf municipal area along the Aspangbahn and Badner Bahhn lines. The Badner Bahn has the highest frequency of the 3 connecting lines in terms of local passenger transport. The trains of the Südbahn serve far fewer numbers of passengers and the passenger records of the Aspangbahn are equally low.

In just 5 minutes you can walk from Guntramsdorf-Thallern station to the well-known Freigut Thallern. There, in the area vinotheque, the best wines of the Thermenregion are waiting to be tasted and, of course, to be taken home. Amidst the harmonious backdrop of the Freigut, you will also find the Klostergasthaus, which provides the perfect setting for a good glass of wine with its regional culinary delights.
From Vienna to the Adriatic
The idea of running a railway line from Vienna to the Adriatic has been around since 1829. The original main line, which ran from Vienna via Lower Austria through Styria to the Slovenian state border near Spielfeld-Straß to Ljubljana and on to Trieste, today extends over the wing section of the then Crown Prince Rudolf Railway, which connects via Carinthia to the Italian border Thörl-Maglern.
